Labor Day weekend

Over Labor Day weekend, both Lucy and Max had a soccer game - and Lucy had volleyball practice - but we still managed to squeeze in some time at the river camp with Grandma, Troy and Aunt Amy (and Elle!).

The kids have evolved regarding dogs. Lucy never really liked them and would get pretty afraid. Max used to really like them and not mind when they sniffed and jumped on him...but then Lucy's fear about them kind of rubbed off on him. Then Lucy moved on to loving the idea of dogs - always talking about how cute they were...but continuing to freak out if a real live dog came anywhere near her. She's gotten a bit braver and will get a little closer - which means Max can feel free to do the same! They had fun with Aunt Amy's dog, Elle.

The kids made friends with some kids at a nearby campsite and they played and went on several golf cart rides with them.

On Sunday evening, we went up to NCC to sit on the hill and watch the fireworks - fun night!

Lucy decided to give volleyball a try this year and she absolutely loved it! It quickly became her favorite sport.
