One Sunday September afternoon, Lucy and I had plans to meet up with some friends at the Woodfill BigTop Festival. The boys were going to hang out at home and maybe get some stuff done...but a neighbor gave them free tickets to the Comic Expo at the Convention Center so they went to check it out.
Dave said Max was a little overwhelmed but did enjoy himself...though he wouldn't get close to any real characters...so all they sent me were some pics with cardboard cutouts!
Meanwhile, us girls were sweating our butts off outside but having lots of fun with friends from Lucy's Kids & Cribs days.
More house transformation pics:
We were lucky enough to be able to move a lot of our stuff into the house before closing. Most boxes went to the basement (and we brought bigger things and furniture into the garage). Little by little, we've found a home for lots of these things but there are still SO many toys in boxes!
Every time we get a box emptied and feel like we're making progress, the kids snatch the box up and turn it into a fort or a hiding spot or bedrooms for Lucy's dolls...
Dave did all of the painting (and has done a really great job, might I add!) and in order to reach the high ceilings in the stairwell, he built himself a little ledge to stand on...Max quite enjoyed it!
I couldn't decide exactly what I wanted to do with the windows in the living room...blinds, shades, curtains? In the meantime, it could get pretty bright in there, so I hung the kids' blankets in the windows...now Disney blankets were in the running for window treatments!
