Happy Thanksgiving!

I walked in the Turkey Day race on Thanksgiving with my parents...my mom and I have done it a couple of times with Ema but this year was the first time my dad joined us.

When I got home, it was time for Lucy and I to make our annual turkey cookies...this year, we added some turkey cupcakes!  She was super silly, wearing her turkey hat she'd made at school and having the turkey hat talk to the turkey cookies...

There was a little bit of drama surrounding Lucy's Thanksgiving outfit.  I bought it online when I saw it came with the scarf - she's been obsessed with a similar scarf of hers lately and I thought she'd be excited.  I also wanted something with a turkey on it since Max's shirt had a turkey.  When I showed her the outfit, she said, "Ugh, I wish Thanksgiving was already OVER!"  Confused, I asked her why...and she said, "Because I do NOT want to wear that outfit!"
She kept up with the attitude but actually smiled for some pics so it was a win...

The next day, we put up the Christmas tree and did some decoration at home.

Later that day, I left for New York City with some friends from work...we had a meeting in New Jersey on Monday and Tuesday and decided to make a little trip of it and see NYC (a first for me) the weekend before!  Dave and the kids survived without me while I was drinking beer and wine and eating pizza and pretzels and seeing shows and bring a tourist!
Me with Denese and Judith...and giant pretzels...
Judith lost a piece of hers in her purse and was slightly freaked out when she was digging for something later in the day and felt it in the bottom of her bag but didn't know what it was until she pulled it out!
