First was Meyers family Christmas at Aunt Nikki & Uncle Steven's house.
Lucy wore a snowflake sweater I found on clearance at Kohl's at the end of winter last year with her new tall black boots (new obsession) and Max wore a studly Children's Place sweater.
Steven let the girls play with his guitar...future recording artists right here!
The little girlies were put to work washing dishes after dinner!
Christmas Eve was fun...we continued our tradition of breakfast at Bob Evans. Max was a hot sticky mess after eating pancakes and drizzling syrup all over himself...I had to take him to the bathroom before we left and remove his shirt and zip his naked belly into his jacket...it was drenched in sticky syrup.
When we got home, it was time to make some Christmas cookies -
gotta have a fresh, tasty treat to leave out for Santa!

The plan was for all of us to go to church together before party time at Granny & Great Grandpa's house but my baby guy just wouldn't wake up! Dave and Lucy ended up going alone while the wild man napped...and Lucy fell asleep in church! Luckily, both kids were well-rested before the party!
One of the greatest feelings in the world...holding a sleeping baby |
Sweet girls |
Play-Doh from Aunt Terri! |
Lego Friends for Lucy from Bob! |
Mickey tools from Uncle Jeff! |
Organized chaos with lots of cutie little cousins |
Selfie alert! |
Had to set out some cookies and milk for Santa before bed! |
Santa may have overdone it a little...Lucy's at the age where she loves and wants EVERYTHING and Max is at the age where it's all very exciting, if a bit overwhelming.
Lucy got a new American Girl doll (Maryellen) and lots of stuff to go with her - the camper & Jeep, a tent & sleeping bags and some clothes and other fun accessories.
Max was thrilled with his tall Batman figure...he calls him "Big Batman." He also got a Mickey desk and some kitchen stuff - working toaster, coffee maker, mixer and blender.
NOT so thrilled with new undies! |
Max got two new cups for Christmas and thought it was ridiculous that they were both empty. He said, in such an excited voice, "New cups!" but then, "Hey! Nothin' in 'em!"
They wanted to break out their new Play-Doh sets immediately!
Our next celebration was at Grandma and Troy's house. Lucy wore another Gymboree consignment sale find and Max wore another Children's Place gem.
Max got a new doctor kit and it was hit with both kids! |
Weird, weirder, weirdest...not necessarily in that order... |
We had one final Christmas celebration before the reality of trying to fit all of our new stuff into our house set in...at GranJan and Grandpa's house! We at breakfast and spent the entire day with them, Uncle Jason & Jessica and Uncle Jeff, Auntie Ema, Lukey & Ellie.
Lucy & Max wore their snowman shirts GranJan got them a few weeks prior.
All worn out! |
Yet another gift of Max's taken over by big, firefighting sis! |
