We spent much of our Christmas break at home, playing with new toys - and trying to find new homes for said new toys...but we did manage to go to the Festival of Lights one mild night and to the museum for an afternoon of fun.
At one point when Max was playing at the water table, I heard another little boy (bigger/older than Max) say, "Ready...Aim...FIRE!" Little did I know, Max was what they were aiming for! - Max was drenched! He acted like he had the wind knocked out of him for a second but then went right back to playing! I dried off his face and then later, when he was done at the water table, we had to remove his shirt and zip him into his track suit jacket for the rest of our time there.
I'm glad he can roll with the punches for the most part - if that had happened to Lucy, she'd have lost her sh*t for sure!
We decided to stay home for New Year's Eve this year and treated it like any other night - the kids went to bed at normal time and we were asleep shortly after wishing each other a Happy New Year. But we did have some excitement at the library for a Noon Year's Eve party...the kids counted down to 12 noon and balloons were released from the ceiling...fun! It was a full house and we were excited to see some friends there.
One last visit to Skyline in 2016!
Sweet babies sleeping at midnight...
