Pumpkin patchin' - take 1

We went to our first pumpkin patch of the season a couple of weeks ago with Auntie Ema & Luke and GranJan...the day we chose was a little cold, but it was fun!  We tried a new one on a recommendation from Christa - Benton Farms in Walton.  Seems like the kids approved!

As much as Max loves being outside, he apparently has to draw the line somewhere -
and that somewhere is cold wind.  He got a little upset with me at first but
once he was bundled up well and shielded from the wind, he was a happy camper

Hayride!

How cute are these little partners?
Lutey crawled back and forth through the tunnel at the entrance to the kids' hay maze multiple times...he was loving life!  Finally, he crawled through and stayed in the maze - we could see the top of his head moving right along until suddenly we couldn't...where did he go?  Ema said, "I'm going to have to go in that maze, aren't I?"

We sent Lucy in to search for him but she took a different route...but finally he popped back up...apparently there was another tunnel in the maze and it took him awhile to make his way through.  They hit the jackpot at the end, though - a corn kernel sandbox!

Lucy was looking forward to a pony ride but they didn't have ponies - they had full grown horses!  Hooray - that meant GranJan could take Luke for a ride, too!

Almost as soon as she got on her horse, he stopped to pee...
and it was LOUD!  She was a little nervous about being stopped -
and hearing a flooding waterfall! -
but she hung in there and enjoyed the rest of the ride

Tried to get a picture of all 3 of us...fail

My bundled-up pumpkin head!
