she's been to a couple of festivals, has gone swimming, has really amped up her photography hobby, has done some painting...and has met her brand new cousin, Luke (aka Lute)!
We went to the St. Pius festival a few week's ago with GranJan and Grandpa.
She had a lot of fun playing games and winning prizes!
This past weekend, we went to the St. Joe's festival...both days! Just the three of us went on Saturday night (and Lucy and I walked back home...such a nice night!). We hung out with Donna, Bob and ABC a little bit here and there and again, Lucy enjoyed playing games and winning prizes! Of course she enjoyed the immediate prize at the lollipop pull but her selection also won her another prize! She chose a little blue stuffed animal that I thought was a hippo and Dave thought was a horse...you be the judge:
Ashley was about to get on her favorite ride and asked Lucy if she wanted to join her...Lucy excitedly said yes, she wanted to ride "purple ride" but wanted me to ride with her...somehow she convinced me...and Ashley rode behind us which seemed to make everyone happy.
She had SO MUCH FUN! She screamed and giggled the entire time! And let me tell you...it was a looooooong ride! It was fun because she was loving life and it was the first ride she's ever gone on...but it lasted just a little too long for my taste. And of course, as soon as it was over, she wanted to ride again. I managed to get her to wait about ten minutes before we hopped back on.

Watching from the side, Daddy dared us to do "no hands!" |
On Sunday we met up with the Hicks family again - along with GranJan and Grandpa and Great Grandpa and Granny. We all ate dinner and walked around the festival a bit more. That night, Lucy won a giant comb and a plastic crayon keychain. Cleo won her a small teddy bear and GranJan won her a giant green inflatable monkey...
And of course, she wanted to ride "purple one" again! She and I rode once more but then she got her daddy to join her!
Recently we set up our big pool in the backyard and the Lucy fish was loving life!
She's quite the little photographer lately...and her skills are improving!
See what I mean? In an earlier session, the top of my face/head is cut off and the bottom of hers is missing...but after just a few days of practice, she got a pretty good pic of me and was even skilled enough to make her famous fish-face and still capture most of her face!
Such talent!
More talent in action:
And finally, the meeting of the sweet baby cousin! Lucy was so excited...she'd bought Luke some presents and she'd excitedly wrapped them up the night before.
Note to Jan: Besides the shoe and milk fiasco, we were also running late because I was obsessing over finding an elephant sticker and a giraffe sticker for this card... |
During the visit, though, she didn't really have much to do with him (she was too busy letting her babydoll try out all of his things!) but we managed a few pics featuring the two of them:
