They shopped for gifts for each other -
Lucy knew exactly what she wanted to get for Max...a new bathtub basketball hoop since I threw out the one from the old house and BINGO. He's obsessed with playing BINGO at school and she came up with the ideas on her own...he was soooo happy!

And he picked out gifts for her...when I asked him what he wanted to get her, he immediately said he wanted to get her a car for her American Girl dolls. A sweet thought but a little more costly (and big in size!) than what I was thinking...so we went to Target to look around and he wanted to check out the doll aisle.
He went with a pet turtle for the doll.

Later that afternoon, we had Dave's mom's family over to celebrate Christmas...we had to laugh at how the living room looked not long before a party was about to begin...but we got it cleaned back up in time (in time to make another mess, ha!):

Lucy and I were upstairs when we heard Max screaming for help...we raced to the basement and saw that he had shimmied up this pole but felt like he was "stuck."
After we stopped laughing, she brought this chair over for him to stand on as he made his way down...such a nut!

I successfully talked Max into wearing jeans again! He looks so good in them - such a shame that it took a Christmas miracle to get him into them...
I got his shirt at H&M and it was intended to also be worn with the red "party pants" that he'd sworn against...
Lucy had a dress from Children's Place that was long-sleeved and velvety that she loved so I took the tags off, threw them away and also tossed the receipt. As the party was beginning, she was throwing a fit about the dress and refusing to wear it (can't even remember why)...she ultimately wore this other Children's Place dress instead...

Favorite gift of the day - from her godmother, Aunt Amy -
an Elmer's slime-making glue kit...seriously...

Funny gifts from Troy - peanut butter and jelly from Lucy (which she hates!) along with some other treats and a giant bag of popcorn for Max.

Everyone had fun playing Max's new BINGO game!

Lucy's never been one to fall asleep while watching tv but Christmas sure wore the little guy out!
