Her actual birthday was Sunday, March 25 but we had her family party the prior Sunday. She wanted the party to be at GranJan & Grandpa's house and chose a fabulous theme - Barbie!
We had family fun throughout the week coloring Barbie posters to use as decoration and I made a frame to use as a photo prop at the party.
Lots of fun with that frame:
The Barbie cake GranJan made looked exactly how she wanted it to, she loved the balloons and decorations, she got tons of fun new Barbie toys and had a blast at her party!
The next weekend, Max & I took her to Busken to get her free birthday cookie (and a donut for all of us!) then to Sky Zone to play / jump for a bit.
Such a sweet big sister! Putting Max's special jump socks on for him |
The next day was her actual birthday - a date she shares with my Grandma Stallkamp (aka "Grandma Doodlebug").
My grandma's health had been quickly declining so my dad's family decided to throw her a big birthday party for as many people who could make it.
I'm so glad they put this together - now I have some very sweet memories to cherish - and the two birthday girls got to blow out candles together.
We also went to see a movie that day (Ferdinand), ate birthday cake the kids had made, and gave our birthday girl a gift or two.
I asked Max what he wanted to give her and he was immediately prepared with an answer. He said he wanted to make her a road for her Barbie cars...

Happy Birthday, sweet Lucygirl! |
