Turns out, it was still too wet to have the kids hunting eggs, but they got to pose for pics with the Easter bunny, eat some treats and the kids were given a paper bag filled with eggs...they didn't have to work for it this year!
Max took his little juice bottle over to one of the grills and used it as his personal table!
The library was having their Easter party on the same day so we all decided to head over there. The cousins had more fun hanging out together and actually got to "hunt" eggs (aka race to pick them up in the open yard in back of the library!).
They also got to color and play silly games inside...turned out to be a fun afternoon!
As usual, we got to color eggs a few times - Max got to color some at school, we invited Grandma & Troy over to color them at our house, and we also colored with GranJan, Aunt Donna & her crew and Granny. Max probably only broke 17 eggs this year!
A fun "Brady attack" broke out after the egg coloring fun!
Matching bunny socks (from the Dollar Spot at Target) and plush Peeps from GranJan & Grandpa - super cuteness! |
Max's school sends out photos one a month and we love seeing him in his element at school! He got to color eggs with his best buddy and have an egg hunt in his classroom (too wet / muddy to have that one outside too - bummer!).
Easter Sunday was a bit cold but at least it didn't rain...and all of our egg hunts that day were able to be held outdoors - we had one at our house, one at GranJan & Grandpa's house, one at Grandma & Troy's house and one at Granny & Great Grandpa's house!
The kids also had lots of fun searching the house for their baskets which that silly Easter Bunny had hidden - at least he was kind enough to leave them each a new Beta fish! Lucy's is a pink-ish purple so she named her Rainbow and Max's is yellow so he named him French Fry!
Meet Rainbow and French Fry!

Happy Easter!
