Recently, Ms. Shelly needed a day off for some doctor appointments so I took a vaca day to hang with my boy and we decided to let Lucy skip school, too. Lukey had never been to Kidzoo and we knew he'd love it so we invited him and Auntie Ema to meet us there.
3 fools in a swing! |
After lunch and naps, there was still a lot of day left before Daddy got off work so the kids and I headed to Totter's Otterville. There weren't many people in there on a Monday afternoon so we felt like we had the place to ourselves and the kids had a blast! Lucy even made friends with another little 4-year-old girl and they played together a lot. We were still there when Daddy got off work so he stopped by and watched the kids play for a bit, too.
Max later got evicted by this room (by me) for dumping cups full of water onto the floor... |

They both loved the ball pit but Max was a wild animal in there! He was literally diving and swimming and just loving it. |

Max's chiropractor is close to GranJan & Grandpa's house so after a recent appointment, we thought we'd drop in since Daddy was at a fantasy football draft anyway...but at the end of the appointment, GranJan & Grandpa were still at work so we thought we'd wait at President's Park:
Trying to take a selfie with these two goofs is tricky business, I tell ya! |
I put Lucy straight to work when we got to my parents' house...my dad was about to wash his car so I offered Lucy as a helper and asked them to wash my filthy car, too!

Lucy and her fish, Rosy, that she earned for getting 4 nights in a row on her bedtime chart...bedtime is still a work in progress...she has long stretches of wonder followed by long stretches of horror...

My babyguy and my Lucygirl:
This guy is such a sweetie! He's usually still asleep when it's time to leave in the mornings and stays that way as we get him out of bed and into the car and only wakes up when we get him back out to take him into Ms. Shelly's house. He's almost always in a good mood!
He's a very independent boy now! He loves feeding himself - to the point where he gets mad if we try to spoon/fork feed him anymore...and he loooooves ketchup (as much as Lucy does!) and loves dip-dip-dipping! Sometimes if he won't eat something, we give him a little ketchup and he turns into an eating machine...
This girl is getting pretty grown up, too! She's been riding her bike a lot - mostly on her own (without us holding on or pushing) and she's been a great help with Max a lot lately. Bedtime can be a bit rough some nights but she's usually a total sweetie!
