Happy Easter!

We had a mighty happy Easter and hope you did, too!
Lucy and Max went to the library egg hunt with Daddy and Grandma and Aunt Nikki while I was at a wedding shower.

Ready to go to the library to hunt eggs!

It ended up being pretty cold (though sunny) that day
but these funny bunnies still managed to find some eggs and have some fun!

I have a drawer in Max's dresser dedicated to holiday clothing and I opened it up one day to see if he had a "My First Easter" bib and I found this hysterical bunny suit.  I can't even remember where it came from at this point (though something tells me GranJan may be responsible) and it was a 9 month (and he's nearly 11 months old) so it was a tight fit but well worth these photos:
I wish I would have gotten the big plastic carrot nose out of our "build a snowman" kit and made him hold onto it...I'm cracking up just picturing it!

Lucy was really into coloring eggs this year.  She's carefully set her egg in a cup of color and check it frequently and announce her observations: "This one needs a few more minutes."

Easter morning brought more fun - that silly Easter bunny hid every one's baskets in the basement along with a bunch of eggs so we had to hunt, hunt, hunt!

He spotted that pink egg and was on a mission!

Max got sunglasses in his basket and Lucy was helping him try them on...

Lucy got bubbles, some little plants (she's quite the gardener, you know), a Chelsea doll and a Frozen stationary set (notepad, pencil, sharpener and eraser).

The four of us went to church just in time for Max's nap which worked out perfectly.  Lucy quietly played with her Chelsea dolls and was a good girl - and we got to see Aunt Pam and Uncle Greg!
Lucy got this Carters dress from Great Grandma Stallkamp for Christmas and right away,
I knew it would be a perfect Easter dress...I just needed to find something coordinating for baby guy -
and I found his perfect outfit at Old Navy!
Such cuties!!!!!

After church, we went to my parents' house for brunch and another egg hunt.  Lucy (barely) scraped her knee right before the hunt began and decided to get a bit dramatic so she didn't enjoy it as much as the other kids...but Max enjoyed himself and had some success!

Matching hat boys!

Next we went to Grandma and Troy's house where the kids each got some treats...Max tried a Peep!  He was a fan (and was a little upset with me after I took it away...)

We ended the day at Granny & Great Grandpa's house - another fun egg hunt, dinner, and way too many treats!
