Merry Christmas 2013!

Looks like Lucy was a good girl this year!

We got up pretty early on Christmas morning to head down and see what Santa left us.

Lucy walked into the room and looked around...and then burst into tears!  It was the craziest thing...she let me hold her for a minute and calmed down pretty quickly but I think she's still a little weirded out by this Santa person setting foot in her house...and the new presents was evidence that he was really in there and she wasn't dealing with that well...

Luckily, she got over it and got down to the business of opening and checking out gifts!

She was pretty pumped about her new couch...she'd sat in this same couch at Toys R Us one day and was a big fan!

Had to try it out!

Daddy got her a new baby doll, too, which made her very happy...and Santa brought the Woody and Bullseye dolls that she "really wanted!"

One day, while shopping, Lucy spotted the perfect gift for Daddy - a Dopey ornament (since that's what he was for Halloween)!  She even wrapped it all by herself!

This girl was already having "the best Christmas ever!" (she actually said that!) and it was only just beginning!

She had to try out her new iron and ironing board right away so she took her baby's pjs off and got to work!

After we opened gifts and played with them for a bit, it was time to go to GranJan and Grandpa's house...Lucy had the hang of this Christmas thing by then and was pretty excited about it.

She was pretty darn excited about her new princess Barbies, including Prince Philip - "Aurora's friend"



She needed the dolls opened right away and wanted to play with them immediately

and this girl has the BEST horse sound I've ever heard!



She was a little too busy to eat much breakfast but she did manage to eat the icing and sprinkles off of a donut and a half...no worries, though...after gifts and playing and posing for pics, she was still more than ready for a nap when we got home...had to rest up for Grandma and Troy's!

That afternoon, we finished up the "best Christmas ever" with Grandma & Troy, Aunt Amy, Great Grandma, Eric, Tracey, Sarah & Jackson, Uncle Bill & Melanie, and Uncle Jim & Aunt Peggy.



Yet another Once Upon a Child find - Gap dress and turtleneck...with Santa Claus barrettes!

 

I love the look on her face when she opens up gifts! 
She was very excited to receive Ariel's castle.  It even came with a Flounder!
