Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve began according to my & Dave's tradition - with breakfast at Bob Evans.  Lucy said she wanted to order pancakes and I wasn't so sure...she used to eat pancakes and waffles but has refused them for quite awhile.  However, we'd seen a sign that said kids eat free that day so we figured there was no harm!
But this crazy cat chowed down on an enormous stack of pancakes and even sent down some sausage!  A Christmas miracle!  She was a sticky mess but we didn't even care - there was plenty of time for a bath before church.

After breakfast, we went home to nap and get her bathed and get ready for church.  We went to St. Joe's this year and sat with Uncle Jason & Jessica plus the Hicks family and Granny and Great Grandpa.  Lucy was a very good girl, all things considered.

Next it was time to go to Donna's house for dinner and a gift exchange.  Sam had Lucy's name and she was very excited to receive a Minnie Mouse bathrobe!  She wanted to try it on immediately!  He also got her the first two Madagascar movies!

Being weird while Grandpa and GranJan are trying to be cute...
After dinner and gifts and playing, it was time to head out to Granny and Great Grandpa's house.  All of the little kids were asked to sit together to wait for their presents...Lucy wasn't too sure at first...

...but then she got a new van for her Loving Family dollhouse and she was one very happy girl!

Another Once Upon a Child find - a Gap dress that she thought was very pretty!

After opening gifts from the great grandparents, it was time for Lucy to get her gift from her godfather!  Jason and I are godparents to Ashley so the four of us - Jason, Lucy, Ashley and I - gathered together for our little exchange.  Lucy patiently waited and watched everyone open gifts as she was the last to open hers.  It was worth the wait!  She got a new sleeping bag from Uncle Jason!  When you ask her what she got for Christmas, "sleeping bag" is usually one of the first things she mentions!  She even took a nap on the floor of her room in this thing the day after Christmas!
