HalZooween 2019

One of my favorite Fall fun activities is going to HalZooween! We go to the zoo fairly often but the costume-sightings, the treat stations and the kids dressing up adds to regular zoo fun in a great way!

Lucy and I went to Once Upon a Child to browse Halloween costumes and she hit the jackpot - she wanted to be Uma, a character from The Descendants and they had an Uma costume in her size!!!

She also spotted a vampiress costume in her size and asked if we could buy it for her to wear to HalZooween...I could not resist! And when we asked Max if he'd dress up as a vampire with her if we got him a costume, I was a little surprised when he said yes. We had a Halloween Express coupon so we went there one day and found him a perfect vampire costume.

He loved the costume SO MUCH!
He could not stop smiling...Lucy was going for a spooky expression
but the orange-haired, Crocs-wearing vampire was all smiles! 

I even got a little dressed up - I found a giraffe accessories kit which I thought was perfect for a trip to the zoo - ears, a collar, a tail and gloves:

Lucy's favorite treat station is the one sponsored by Kroger - they pass out cookies! She remembers exactly where their booth is, too, and was anxious to head over there!
