End of summer adventures!

Lots of cousin fun this summer!  Softball games, swimming at Brookwood, fun at GranJan & Grandpa's house...

And of course we love our summer festivals!  We had lots of fun at the St. Joe's festival...made even more exciting knowing it will be Lucy's school very soon!

They ended the night with a tub each of cotton snack thanks to Uncle Jason!

And for one last adventure before school started two days later, we headed to Coney Island.  I left work early and we rushed over there, trying to beat the rain...the kids got to ride ONE thing before the skies opened up...we dashed to the car and decided to wait it out.  Luckily, it only rained for a short time and we were able to head back in for big fun!  

Lucy and I had been to Coney a couple of times over summer with Ava and her mom but we knew Maxy would love it there, too, and we thought it would be a great summer send-off.  Grandma came with us, too!

Lucy talked us into accompanying her on a spinning saucer ride...

One benefit from the rain storm...PUDDLES!  

Max's socks and shoes were completely soaked through by the time we left.

Lucy and Daddy headed out in a paddle boat so 

Max, Grandma and I went out on a little battery operated boat.

Then everyone decided to ride the Viking ship...only Max wasn't allowed...

so he and I walked around while the other swayed back and forth!

No one can resist an ice cream treat!

Our little family went bowling one Saturday in August - Max's first alley experience!  Max bowling one frame for me and helped me pick up a spare!  They seemed to have more fun running around the place (luckily, there weren't too many other people there) but Lucy has already asked to go bowl again.
