The Meyers Family: : Recent fun

On the day we got home from Gatlinburg, we decided to keep the summer fun going by visiting the splash park (Woodland Mound). Lucy ended up spotting a scrape on her foot and didn't want to get it wet so she was a bit of a wiener but Max had enough fun for at least two people!

Before she notices the scrape, she's all smiles...

Once she notices the scrape, you'll see she's not fully putting her left foot down...this girl is a drama queen!

And this guy is hilarious! He'd put his face right in the squirting water and blink a million times but wouldn't move his face out of the stream. He didn't cry, either, though...he was fascinated and was loving it!

Grandma, Troy and Aunt Amy came over the day before Daddy's birthday to help us celebrate:

Pizza and cookie cake...yum!

The next morning, Lucy and I baked him a cake and she decorated the heck out of it!

That night we celebrated Lukey, who turned 2 that week. His party was super fun...it featured a water bounce house and a petting zoo!

Snack monster!

Several animals showed up after dinner to meet the kids...the fluffy bunny was a hit! All of the kids were brave and touched the lizards and the snake and a few of the kids even let the snake rest on their shoulders!

The giant turtle was a crowd-pleaser, too, especially when he gave the birthday boy a ride!

These three silly girls - Lucia, Lucy and Mackenzie -
finsihed the night by snuggling up to watch Christmas movies!

Before we left the party, Dave got his birthday gift from my parents after a pair of cuties sang 'Happy Birthday' to him. He got a new tent and Lucy's so excited to have a camp out with him!

We couldn't make it to the St. Joe's festival on Saturday this year so we went on Sunday afternoon. It was SUPER hot but we managed to have some fun:

She threw a dart, popped a balloon and won a blow-up pony!

Both of them chose a lollipop from the taffy pull game...Max was loving life!

Big winner! Eight tubs of cotton snack!

My little family visited me at work recently to see everyone and take me to lunch. They had to get a visit in before Lucy & Dave started back at school and Max started back at Ms. Shelly's full time!

The kids and I had fun at GranJan's house last weekend - she had a rare Saturday off so we visited while Daddy got some work done at home.

GranJan's pain was Lucy's gain - her hot tub is on the fritz but it made for the perfect personal pool for the girl:

Later, she joined her brother for some shenanigans - splashing and sliding in the new blow-up pool and pushing him around on the bike/car - she'd pull or push him to the top of the incline and then let him go (I was in charge of catching him). They were both cracking up!

The next day we hung out with everyone at Brookwood and came back to grill out and play at GranJan and Grandpa's - Lukey and Lucy had fun on the swing set!
