Today's adventure

Today may have been the last adventure of my maternity leave...Lucy's going to school tomorrow and she's supposed to go on Wednesday and Thursday, too - and of course I go back to work on Friday...

On the recommendation of a few different friends, we decided to go try out Woodland Mound's water park.  While we waited for daddy to get home from summer school, Lucy and I were able to play a bit here and there while Max napped (and she helped me give him a bath again!) and then we walked across the street to eat lunch at our park:

But then dad was home and it was time for the real adventure.  We'd never been there and didn't quite know what to expect...but it was a lot of fun!  Neither Dave nor I wore our suits and that was a mistake because we each got pretty wet when it was our turn to be Lucy's partner...the water spouts were much more significant than I'd expected but it was such fun for our girl!

  

It was $3 to park and $3 to get into the water area...six bucks very well spent on a happy girl and a few hours of wet fun!  And the silly little brother slept through yet another adventure:

And afterward, when Lucy suggested we go out for ice cream, we thought it was a perfect idea!  A great end to a great afternoon!
