Aunt Nikki's (and Uncle Steven's!) wedding

Lucy was in a wedding for the first time on October 15, 2016.
Aunt Nikki married Steven despite Lucy's attempts to steal him for herself!
The wedding was at the Little Britain Carriage House in Burlington and the rehearsal was the Thursday prior...we lucked out with beautiful weather both days!

The nieces and the nephew

Max had stolen a centerpiece from my grandpa's 90th birthday a week or so before the wedding - it was a vase filled with fake flowers.  It was still in my car so I let the girls hold them as they practiced flower-girl-ing...Max was desperate to get in on the action, too, and since the flowers were technically his, he needed one, too!  Lucy kept calling him a flower boy and when cousin Alli heard there was no ring bearer, she said, "Max may be up for the job!"

Pretty little flower boy!

Max was a bit of a wild man during the ceremony...here he is, momentarily captured by Daddy.  We were sitting in the front row and he kept running up to stand with the girls and walking toward the aisle to pick up discarded petals...he was a mighty fine unofficial flower boy!

So sweet!

Party time!

September 2017 recap

My girl loves kindergarten and loves her school very much!  It's been an adjustment for her, though!  They do have a rest time where she says sometimes she falls asleep and sometimes she doesn't...
She's been riding the bus home with Cleo twice a week and as you can see, after a long day of kindergarten, the bus seems to lull her right to sleep!

She says she likes the bus but sometimes it's a "little bumpy and a lot hot."
The other three days, Daddy picks her up from school and they go home and do homework...Dave even made up a song called "Lucy's got homework today" which she pretends to hate but I'm sure she secretly loves!

Surprisingly, she's not usually too picky about what she wears...
I pick out her outfit each day, though sometimes she gives me guidelines -
like if she wants to wear a dress or shorts or what
On this day, she asked me, "Why am I dressed like a parade?
Is it parade day at school or something?"

We love having friends with a Coney Island pass and especially love that they always think of us on Bring-a-Friend-Free day!  Lucy and Ava (and Amber and I) had another wonderful day at the park a couple of weeks after school started!  The girls got a chance to catch up and compare kindergarten notes since they're in different schools now.

They even gave us some extra free passes to use later that weekend so Lucy and I took Max.  I admit, I got a little overwhelmed a couple of times when they wanted to go in differnt directions in the crowded park but overall, we had so much fun!

Cool dude!

Happy kids on a trip to "the donut store"

These little bakers rarely miss an opportunity to celebrate a birthday and make the cake!  This was for my dad's birthday...Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

I shared this picture on Facebook already but it's worth repeating - he was cheering and clapping for himself after putting on his own shirt...such a job well done!  When we ask him what a horse says, he tells us "Giddyup!  Giddyup!"

JumpZone cousin fun!  Lucy has only ever been there for birthday parties and Max had never been so we met up with Lukey and Auntie Ema one night with our Groupon tickets and they had tons of fun...especially with the Icees at the end.  Lucy has since been once more for a birthday party and spent half the time saying she wished Lukey were there!
