Happy Halloween 2019

I was lucky enough to go to both kids' classroom parties...I was pretty happy they were at different times so I could make it happen.

I am a room mom for Lucy's 3d grade class this year so I got to help come up with the games but I was just a regular old party guest in Max's kindergarten class.

First up, I visited KB and my little vampire. I bought this costume so Max & Lucy could match once since she had a vampire dress costume...thinking I'd maybe get him to wear it once to HalZooween or something...but he fell in love with it! He wore it multiple times, including to his classroom party and out trick-r-treating that night. Cutest little orange-haired vampire I ever did see!

Lucy went with the Uma (from The Descendants) costume for her classroom party and for trick-r-treating. Her friend Addy was Evil Audrey from the same movie so they looked picture perfect!

That night was chilly but at least it was dry! We had a lot of fun meeting up with cousins at Aunt Terri & Uncle John's house to trick-r-treat together...
We had:
Mario (Evan)
Princess Peach (Lucia)
Elsa (Ellie)
Black Panther (Luke)
Reaper (Charlie)
Uma (Lucy)
Vampire (Max)
Sloth (Ashley)

Pumpkin carving 2019

Pumpkin carving 2019 - Lucy was most interested in scooping goop...Dave hates the goop but the rest of us love scooping it out! He cuts the the tops off and helps with the carving but leaves the slimy goo to us.

After she cleared out her pumpkin, Lucy was happy to draw faces on the smaller pumpkins.

This year, Max wanted to carve his own pumpkin...he even had a vision for how he wanted the face to look which he drew on the pumpkin first with dry erase marker. Next, we gave him one of the small carving knives from the kit and he got to work! He needed supervision, of course, but very little help.

Dave came up with two ideas to carve and surprise the kids with - a ninja turtle for Max and a unicorn for Lucy, which they loved.
Max was very pleased with his happy little jack-o-lantern and they likes my spookier-faced design, too. Carving success...Happy Halloween!
