A Happy Shopkins Birthday Party...Lucy is 5!

We had Lucy's 5th birthday party on April 3 (since her birthday fell on Easter weekend, we waited until the following Sunday) at her new school!  We held it in the Activity Center which is in the basement of her kindergarten building.  She chose a Shopkins theme and loved the cake and Kooky Cookie cookie cake GranJan made for her.

She was disappointed Lucia couldn't come (she had her first soccer game!) but had tons of fun with her other cousins and her BFF Ava!  They had a blast running around the place, coloring Shopkins pages, making foam frames and artwork with foam stickers, blowing bubbles, eating pizza and acting crazy!

I bought some decorations online (can't find any Shokins decor in stores yet) but Lucy and I also made a bunch of the decorations out of Shopkins pages we colored and cut out and printed out.  We made a little "photo booth" area so all of her friends could get a pic with the birthday girl!

 

She got tons of Shopkins and Shopkins items for her birthday (Beados, puzzles, clothes and more!) but no duplicates!  And each gift she opened was her favorite...she had a very happy birthday, indeed!

He also had tons of fun with cousin Lukey...they'd start at this door with their little hands on the handle and race down the little ramp...over and over again!

We decided to get our birthday girl a new scooter for her birthday.  She was given a toddler's scooter by one of our neighbors a couple of years ago and though she's continued to use it, she's definitely outgrown it...it was time to upgrade to a big girl scooter for our big girl!

These kids of mine sure do love hunting eggs!  That had plenty of opportunities once again this year...on a sunny but cooooold day at the city building, they had fun with cousins:

One of the eggs he found had a ticket inside and we traded it in for a cute stuffed bunny!

The next week we went to our library and searched for more eggs.  We spotted cousin Alli right before the hunt began but never did see Baby P.  There were SO MANY eggs!  Kids kept hunting until their baskets were overflowing and somehow, there still seemed to be eggs everywhere...we love our library!

The Easter bunny visited our house but he's so silly!  He hid everyone's baskets!  The kids had fun searching for them!

Candy consumption began bright and early on Easter Sunday and kept going all day long!

We were giving Lucy hints to find the yellow egg on the playhouse...she didn't find it...I had to show her this picture on my camera for another "clue" - goofy girl!

I ordered Lucy's dress off of Etsy after she and I picked it out together...Max was super studly in an outfit handed down from cousin Charlie!

After hunting baskets and eggs, devouring candy and resting for a bit, we headed to GranJan & Grandpa's house and had brunch...and another egg hunt!

Next, we visited Grandma and Troy...and Lucy and Max had even more eggs to find!

They've become egg-hunting professionals!

Our next, and final, stop was to Granny & Great Grandpa's house to hunt even more eggs and eat even more candy...we also had dinner there and they got to play outside.  We were so lucky to have such a beautiful Easter, weather-wise!

Since Charlie, Amy & John were heading to Florida for Spring Break, they had to miss Lucy's birthday party and brought her gift early...she loved her Shoppies doll and Shopkins and said it was the best day of her life!
