Christmas wrapped up - 5/6 & 6/6

Our final Christmas celebrations were every bit as exciting as the first ones.  On Christmas day, after we checked out the loot under our own tree and had time to play with our new treasures for a bit, we went to Grandma and Troy's house.  Lucy wore an outfit GranJan bought her - her first ever outfit from Justice.  I think I got Max's skeleton Santa shirt at a consignment sale and I had to stick the Santa pants on him once more!

Wild man!

They both got Play-Doh sets!  Fun stuff!

With these two, you never know if you'll be capturing a sweet sibling moment or a wrestling match in progress...

On the Sunday after Christmas, we went to GranJan & Grandpa's house to celebrate with them, Uncle Jeff, Auntie Ema, Luke & Ellie and Uncle Jason.
Max got this rocking horse and it was the first thing he spotted -
he climbed right on and started saying "neigh, neigh!" as he rocked!

Uncle Jason got Max this shopping cart filled with balls and Max was in heaven!  He loved the cart but also loved filling a box with the balls and dumping them on his own head...

We hope all of our friends and family had a very Merry Christmas just like we did!

Christmas 2015 - 3/6 & 4/6

Our Christmas Eve tradition of going to Bob Evans for breakfast continued.
Max got to sit in a high chair designed to sit inside a booth...pretty cool!

Before we knew it, it was time to go to church then to Granny & Grandpa's house.  Lucy wore another hand-me-down dress and Max wore a Gymboree sweater I bought on Ebay so he could coordinate with his sweet big sister.

Both kids were great in church - they fell asleep!  It was PACKED!  We got there 30 minutes early and still had to stand.  Lucy was whiny at first but apparently she was just sleepy because we found Donna and Ashley, and Donna offered to hold Lucy - and within a few minutes of being picked up, she was sound asleep on Auntie!
Max was sleepy, too, but was fighting it so I had to take him outside to get him to sleep.  Once we came back in, he snoozed through most of the rest of mass.

In past years, we have gone to my parents house, Aunt Debbie & Uncle Steve's house or Donna & Bob's house after church.  There, we'd have dinner and do a name-drawing-gift-exchange.  After that, everyone would head to Granny & Grandpa's house.  This year, we decided to cut out the middle-man and do everything at Granny's.

Luke, Ellie, Max and Evan all got chairs hand-made by Great Grandpa!

Lucy loved her gift (a Shopkins refrigerator) from Granny & Grandpa so much she hugged it!

Lucy loved giving Uncle Jason (her godfather) his gift and loved all of the Super Barbie stuff her got for her!  She also got walkie talkies from John T and she and Lucia had a great time playing with those...in fact, they were having tons of fun pretending with them before they even had batteries in them!

Both Max and Lucy love it at Granny & Grandpa's house - lots of friends and lots of space to run around like wild animals!

We couldn't stay too late because we had to get home and set out Santa's cookies and get a good night's sleep!

Santa did not disappoint - Lucy and Max must have been pretty good kids this year!  Lucy woke up first and we read books and played in her room for a just a little bit but then decided to wake the babyguy up!

Max was a little confused but he was definitely intrigued!  He got a new Mickey couch (so he doesn't have to steal his sister's princess couch!), a vacuum, a bowling set, some books and lots of other fun things to play with!

Lucy was pretty pleased with her gifts, too...she got lots of Monster High dolls, a big Lego Friends set, too many Shopkings, the Bitty Twins boy to go with the Bitty Twins girl GranJan got her when she was pretty bitty herself, and lots of other fun stuff!
She was NOT excited about receiving new undies for Christmas...

Once the living room was officially declared a disaster area, Daddy and Lucy decided to get busy on her new Lego set...while Max and I decided to take a nap!

We had a very wonderful Christmas morning!

Christmas 2015 - 1/6 and 2/6

We were fortunate enough to have six different Christmas celebrations!  We love having so many friends and family to celebrate with and I love dressing up my little cuties!

They make it a little challenging to get a good picture of the two of them, though, I must say!
Lucy's outfit was a hand-me-down and I got Maxy's studly bowtie shirt at Old Navy.

The first of the six was Christmas with Grandma & Grandpa Meyers on the Saturday before Christmas.
They loved hanging out with their silly cousins (and aunts and uncles and grandparents) and Max loved all of the dogs!  Santa even stopped by!

The second Christmas celebration was the very next day.  We went to my "crazy uncles house" (as Lucy said) to celebrate with the Stallkamps.

Lucy wore another hand-me-down outfit and Max wore a shirt GranJan bought him with some awesome Santa pants I'd found at Old Navy on clearance last year after Christmas.

Silly boys in matching shirts!

It's always a very fun and silly time - we do a gift exchange with dollar gifts (this year we ended up with a lint brush, a Pez dispenser, a toy giraffe and another amazing treasure).

The kids had a great time playing in Hannah, Rachel & Remy's toy room!

Weirdos...
