and oh, how I love her!
We started our Mother's Day celebration with brunch at Barleycorn's - after she presented me with a card she had colored for me: "Mama! Me made sum'fin' for you!" - with Grandma and Troy and Great Grandma Herman and Aunt Amy. She packed a lunchable but scarfed down the plate of fries (with ketchup, of course!) Troy brought back for her and shared some strawberries with him, too.
Unfortunately she wasn't in the mood for a pic with Grandma after brunch:
Next it was family nap time before we headed over to GranJan's.
She wanted to wear her favorite shirt |

Recently, after a stroller nap / walk, we stopped into Kroger for a couple of necessities. On the way, we passed a sign that announced "CocoBerry Now Open." I did a quick google search on my phone to see what the heck CocoBerry was and discovered that it's an Orange Leaf-like frozen yogurt shop. Lucy and I decided to check it out after Kroger:
Lucy likey! We chose vanilla yogurt to share and I let her decide on the toppings...she went with a giant scoop of sprinkles and a little scoop of M&Ms...good stuff!
That weekend we also celebrated Grandpa Meyers' birthday...Lucy loves birthday parties!

This past Saturday we were invited to Talia's 1st birthday party and it was cat-themed...so of course, we had to buy Lucy a new cat t-shirt! And Tammy had ears and tails for all of the kids to purrfectly complete the look. She had fun at the party but was a bit overwhelmed at first since she's not used to such a large crowd there!
Talia even shared her birthday cake with her cousin Annie and with Lucy!

Dave said he will never take Lucy to Kroger again now that I let this happen - because she will expect it every time - but she was so stinkin' cute! And she was such a good girl! This would be quite challenging if we had a lot of groceries to get but we just needed some fruit and bread and yogurt - and she was on top of it!
I've seen other kids pushing these at Kroger before but have never seen any of them available at the entrance with the other carts. We walked in that night, though, and I spotted a couple...they were a little bigger than I though and I wondered if she was tall enough to navigate it well. I said, "Are you big enough to use this?" and her face lit up as she ran over to it shouting, "Yes!" And she was right.
That was a pretty cool day for the Lucy girl...after we got home and put our groceries away, her friend the neighborhood cat came over to play. She kept trying to feed it grass...funny stuff!
"Here's you's grass, kitty!" |

I got Lucy a new (to us) table the other day and she's excited to eat dinner in the backyard at it. Her baby, too!

Here's a little video of Lucy's routine at the park across the street:

This girl has mouth full of teeth. 18 of them to be exact. I recently noticed a new one on the top and a new one on the bottom...we weren't for sure if they were brand new or if I was just slow to notice but some recent wacky sleeping schedules (waking up in the night crying) could be explained if they are fairly new. We plan to take her to the dentist for the first time soon.

My little sweetie is very inquisitive lately.
I know she's not the only kid to do this but I don't understand why she does it...like last night as we were walking to the softball game, she pointed to the grass and asked, "What that, mama?" I said, "Lucy, what is it?" and she happily yelled, "Grass!"
She's constantly asking questions to which she already knows the answer!
At most meals: "What you havin', daddy?"
She has been asking "why" a LOT lately...repeated "whys" can be equally hilarious and frustrating at the same time...
She loves to sing. When she gets really excited while singing the alphabet she starts out nicely..."Abcdefg..." and then starts yelling letters as quickly (and loudly!) as she can!
Similarly, when she gets very excited, her go to phrase to express her joy is "Happy Easter!"
She's a little weirdo!

The other night we decided to take her baby, Kate, for a little walk in her stroller.
We walked to the top of our street and turned right into Ejay's Plaza.
When we got up there, Lucy spotted a couple of ducks walking around and she was pretty excited and tried to "catch them":
She always wants to catch birds, too, though I don't know what she'd do if she ever actually really caught one...
I think she thought she had them this time, though...when they flew away, her mind was blown! She hadn't seemed to realize that ducks can fly...
